Problem

Alright I need help dudes I've ripped an album and copied the songs on to my mp3 player but they won't play they just skip through to the next song that can play

any suggestions?

have you got your MP3 player set to 'intro' or 'sample'

if so, it only plays the 1st 5 secs of each song before moving on

also were your licenses up to date on your PC after your ripped them before you copied them to your mp3 player?

i know the prob...

it depends on the format you ripped. if you're ripping using media player, the default format is WMA....which the MP3 players dont support therefore it skips them.

Rip the songs again with the correct format..MP3. thats the only explanation i can come up with..:g:

tools > options > rip music > rip settings > choose MP3/ MPG layer 3

Thanks TDK what I don't understand is why all my fozzy stuff is wma and still plays but nothing else does

maybe they were MP3 but someone renamed it. you can rename files...for example:

you got an RM file called smackdown. you can rename it to: smackdown.AVI and it'll still run in real player...

maybe thats it..not sure.
