It isn't something that is necessary, but it is noted. For now, just make use of the "Top Chatters" option in the chat.
You can use that to see how much of someone's posting comes from the chat vs on the forum just by eye-balling it.

For Grievous, there is the Charlotte number. It's a number that states he has more posts about Charlotte than there are possible moves in the game of chess.

The problem is, to separate the two "post counts" is to make Chat Threads not to count as the accumlated total. To do this, Soli would have to make a new forum, make the forum so that it doesn't count towards the overal postcount, then move Chat Threads or any threads Soli doesn't like there. A low quality forum, essentially.

There's no viable way to do it, so that...

Thing is, the chat box is actually a plugin designed by someone else than Soli, unless Soli says different. If he knows how to code it so that it's possible, all power to him. I wouldn't do it, though. Especially if he plans to upgrade to XF2.

I was also wondering about this - I felt like, everyone has/had exorbitant postcounts, and it was crazy. Then I learned that Chat treats each chat post as new posts.
