Late last night, PWInsider reported that WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross was in Boston for tonight’s Night of Champions pay-per-view. They didn’t confirm this but speculated that Ross was there to replace Jerry Lawler on commentary.

F4Wonline.com reported early this morning that former WWE Champion John Bradshaw Layfield had been contacted by WWE and they reached an agreement for him to work commentary for Night of Champions and tomorrow’s RAW.

Dave Meltzer then speculated that this could be JBL coming back for more than just two appearances. For what it’s worth, JBL is set to go to Africa in a week to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro for his Seven Summits campaign.

Take the JBL long run thing with a grain of salt. As the article says he is climbing Kilimanjaro next week.

When F4WOnline reports something, it's usually a safe bet to believe the opposite.

He just came back from a failed climb @[Lacky] After a climb is easier since he isn't in some preparation phase like he is now when he is to climb the tallest mountain in all of Africa.
