Possible Spoiler on .... WWE Return *potential RR spoilers*

Pat McAfee is set to make his WWE return soon.

A new report from Fightful Select notes that internal speculation has McAfee returning to work for WWE soon. One source noted that McAfee’s name was discussed for the Men’s Royal Rumble Match later tonight.

McAfee is currently signed to a multi-year contract with WWE, but he has been on a hiatus since September so that he could work ESPN’s College GameDay program on Saturday mornings. GameDay recently wrapped up until the next season begins in late August. It was reported then that McAfee would likely return to work for WWE in early 2023.

It remains to be seen if McAfee will return to the SmackDown commentary table with Michael Cole, and if he does, what happens to Wade Barrett.

McAfee last wrestled at WWE SummerSlam in July 2022, where he defeated Baron Corbin. If McAfee returns in the Men’s Royal Rumble tonight, this would be his Rumble debut.​

as said above, I like the energy, but I do wish it was tempered a bit. I don't need constant SCREAMING ADD or constantly forcing banger bros jokes, as funny as they can be. It also kind of surprises me people constantly shat all over Mauro but Pat's constant spazzing gets a pass

I haven’t had an issue with McAfee as of yet but yeah I can understand why someone would. I listen to his podcast and he’s over the top on there so maybe I’m just accustomed to it.

In regards to Mauro, it felt like he was trying to be over the top sometimes. Same vibe I got from Joey Styles from time to time.

i feel pat is try hard too fwiw. not even a bad thing overall, but he's got that try hard/immature style thats just not going to be for everyone. and when i say try hard I mean: the swears/potty humor and the peacocking

But the thing is that Pat is obviously doing in on purpose. I feel like things don’t work when you try to do something and its either unintentionally funny or unintentionally serious. Pat screaming and being over the top is just his personality. I think it’s great.
