The Rock To Have SummerSlam Match
As of now, The Rock is scheduled to appear on the RAW the night after WrestleMania 28.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Rock is going to have a feud and match for SummerSlam in August. There is no word yet on who the feud could be with. This is apart of a plan for The Rock to have more than one big main event match at a major pay-per-view.

I'm saying this is pretty reliable since it's from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. That's good that he'll stick around after Mania which means the Cena feud will possibly continue and this makes the WM28 match really unpredictable tbh. I want to see him do another program with another superstar too. Possibly CM Punk or someone? Idk.

Post your thoughts!

Since I read Rock divorced his Wife I said he'd get back into Wrestling before because I think she was a huge factor in him leaving in the first place. So, I didn't figure Cena/Rock would be his ULTIMATE last match.

I would not mind a rematch with Cena depending on how good the WM one is, But i'm all for a Rock vs. Rey Mysterio match.

With him being around longer this year and possibly SCSA appearing occasionally this year and sometime late this year or early next year if he wants to do a match with CM Punk. Looks like we'll be seeing edgy TV.

The Rock vs. CM Punk with Stone Cold as the Guest Referee would make for an amazing Summerslam main event.

Could also do something little involving SCSA/CM Punk so it'd work, would be a great match and main event and just the presence of SCSA as ref between these two would be good. Good idea but what would Cena do?

Shawn Michaels needs to come out of retirement for this match.

If this is true than I am impressed. It is a pretty big risk for him to take wrestling yet again since his movie career is his bread and butter now and he can make a lot more acting than he can in wrestling. Plus his acting career has really taken off in the past year especially with Fast and the Furious, he has since signed on for two more sequels, and his Journey movie is smashing what the previous one made so people do like watching him on the big screen.

As for a potential opponent I want to see how he goes against Cena. If they have a good match then book it again for SummerSlam to make it 1-1 and then book the decider at WM29.

Troy... Of course Journey 2 is blowing the first out of the water. I never even knew it existed and this one seems like a big deal. I probably won't view it, though.

I'd rather see a series of different matches for Rock unless they somehow can tell a good story in their match around their year long feud that is still developing then maybe a rematch would be good for SummerSlam. Of course Rock will probably be extremely rusty still and the crowd reaction will make this seem like a classic even if it's not. Since I notice people usually judge the crowd more than the match at Mania, I'm sure we'll get tons of people clamoring for a rematch. I like the idea of Orton at SummerSlam instead and if possible lets see who really rises this year then set up for a match with at next year's big show. Probably only be CM Punk as viable answer I'd accept. Also, I don't want Austin/Punk because Austin shouldn't waste our time killing himself to come back for what will most likely be a garbage match.

Journey was massive when it came it, it was given much more mainstream hype that this one was given. Plus it had Brendan Fraser in it who was a bigger star than The Rock. Plus it was a better storyline since it was based on Jules Verne most popular book in the series, this story isn't well known at all. This movie shouldn't have done anywhere near as well as the last one but the lead actor changed has certainly helped it.

He didn't look remotely rusty when he returned at Survivor Series, granted he trained with Miz & Truth leading into the match so I wouldn't be surprised to see him training again should get the time leading into Mania.
