I'm not hating it, but doesn't that seem a little too long for a mid card feud like this? Stretching all the way from before Mania until Summerslam? I understand if one guy "got hurt" or something like that to break it up, but nonstop feud for almost half the year? I could totally see it going that long still without it getting boring.

I'm not hating it, but doesn't that seem a little too long for a mid card feud like this? Stretching all the way from before Mania until Summerslam? I understand if one guy "got hurt" or something like that to break it up, but nonstop feud for almost half the year? I could totally see it going that long still without it getting boring.
I have no problem with this fued continuing to SS because these two always put a good match on. Rey joining SES should also make this fued alot more interesting.
The only problem I have is that they only phrase it as Rey "joining SES." It's not like he's losing his mask or anything from what I can tell. All it seems like is if he loses he will walk around with them and do stupid shit. Rey is already bald from what I can tell, so they can't shave his head. They haven't emphasized taking his mask off in awhile too.

If Rey were to take off his mask it kills his aura and makes him another Evan Bourne, just older even though he looks just as young. It killed his career in WCW when he had to take it off. Plus the merchandising hit the E would take is not worth it.
Adding Rey to the SES could be a good way to help this feud last a bit longer, it really hasn't gotten stale imo. Adding Rey could do wonders for adding freshness to it as well as create a more compelling story, much like HBK/JBL in 2008 (I think that's when it was).
I would have imagined this feud going past Summerslam. It would be great to see Rey being part of SES for an extended period of time, and there is no way it would go stale, many factions have continued for over a year (see Legacy) and not got too stale, this would be the same but with a little spice. Can't wait for this to continue.
I'm surprised a long running feud between both men wasn't the plan from the beginning. I would have had Rey forced to join the SES immediately after Extreme Rules, Punk continuously take advantage of the situation over the next few months and really make the crowd hot to see Rey and Punk finally settle things at Summerslam in August.
Rey in ses would actually give him a direction and seeing a heel rey/punk own the fuck out of smackdown while Punk's screaming a message of purifying and cleansing would be fun.
Punk losing his hair makes a lot of sense and will only strengthen the only gimmick. Then maybe Mysterio will see the way on his own (Get's tired of seeing his home dawgs ruin their life). This is smackdown after all, but this is just me being a mark, I want better for Rey and he hasn't done shit all since Eddie died.
