Pokemon Yellow Help

Yeah, I know its old and shit, but i broke it out and need some desperate help.

I am doing the rare candy trick and its not working for me. Remember this is Pokemon Yellow.

I get up to the pokemon tower part and I fight a CHanneler and my game freezes. My pikachu still moves around. THe music still plays. I can do anything and neither can the channeler.

What can I do?

Wow its been a long time. Umm I'll get back to you soon. I'll go find my GBSP and hopefully my data hasn't deleted itself. Hell I might play some classic Yellow myself while i'm at it.

Well, I found out my mistake. I went to the wrong floor in P-Tower. If you go to the floor that has the heal pad thingy, you fight a channeler there. Then you dig out and go towards the gambler you had to fly away from. As you go to it, your menu will pop up. Dont push exit, push B. Then, it Missingno will pop up. The screen will go blank for 10-12 seconds, then at 5 seconds the music stops. Then a big orange block will come up.

At that moment, my game decided to freeze. FUCK.
