- Possible upcoming matches for the World Heavyweight Championship are looking to be CM Punk vs. JBL or a CM Punk vs. JBL vs. John Cena match. WWE may have Punk drop the belt in a three-way at the Great American Bash pay-per-view, letting JBL get the pin on Punk. This would go on to setup a feud between JBL and Cena with the two facing off at WWE's SummerSlam.

Another likely scenario would see JBL winning the belt at the Great American Bash in a singles match with the gimmick being that he is something like "RAW's All American hero" and this would be his pay-per-view.

WWE could change things up totally if they're impressed with CM Punk's run up until the pay-per-view and just keep the strap on him until the program runs its course, which could be a very smart move in the long run. I can't imagine people wanting to sit through a John Cena vs. JBL feud for the rest of the Summer.

That really would be horrible if Punk loses to JBL. They were saying he's not happy with his conditioning, so why would they make him champion? Raw has so many guys that are more over, it's ridiculous to give JBL the belt to probably one of the most over guys we've seen in a while.

Its all rumors. Remember "Punk will be dropping MITB soon" and "Brian Gewirtz doesnt like Punk" and "JR's salary is 300000 dollars (which it isnt), and Cena to Smacdown, and Y2J returning at No Mercy... Those are just some recent notable fuck ups by rumor sits in the past half year or so... They;re just stating the obvious, because Punk beat JBL on Raw, so they assume it will be a feud. Hey, even if that match does happen, it wont be a long term feud, and Punkw ont drop it. Either Punk will keep the belt or it will go back to a Cena, Batista, Mysteripo type guy... But I dont think JBL will win it...


Also, I think we should all know by now that Punk isnt just a quick champ now. if they only wanted him to be champ for a short time, they wouldve had him drop it that night, but I think they will leave it on for a while, especially after the praise he got.

BTW, alot of these rumors nowadays arent even from sources, alot of them now are just the news sites guys opinions, lol. Like this guy said "I think they might also do etc..." and "I dont think they would pu tthe strap on JBl, as I dont think the fans would want to sit through Cena/JBL".... This guy is just coming up with stuff on his own.

Its not. If anything, he'll get a title shot, but I doubt that too. i think its more like Punk/Batista as the match, with Cena/JBL in a seperate feud. Either way, he wont get the title, as wwe knows he cant draw like the big boys as champ, and his back is fucked.

Honestly, I don't think Punk is going to hold the belt for that long. He'll probably lose it to Cena in a few weeks. I'd rather see Cena with the WWE Title than JBL, thats for damn sure. JBL is just not World Championship material anymore and he is VERY boring in the ring.
