- WWE officials have discussed having Ryback feud with John Cena for the WWE Title after WrestleMania 29. WWE planted the seeds for the feud when Cena eliminated Ryback to win the Royal Rumble this year.

I don't see why people are hating on it personally. Ryback can keep his tweener role strong against Cena and will probably get a LOT more fans cheering him.

So Ryback jobs to Cena cleanly a couple of times and rides off into obscurity.

Sounds OK with me, lol. See ya pal.

Ryback seems incapable of doing a long match, the promos would be Meh unless Cena was motivated plus it's too soon to run this kind of thing, Ryback isn't even a mega face yet so they shouldn't make them collide in the immovable object vs irresistible force yet.

Feuding with Cena could help him get to that mega face stage, and we haven't seen enough "long" Ryback matches to judge that he's simply incapable. Sure his match with Punk was lame and his other couple weren't special, but that will just get better with time. I'm a build/promo guy so I'm not seriously put off by the inevitable poor match, but the feud itself is something I'm actually quite excited for.

Everyone should have seen this feud coming. I just figured they'd try and save it for Summerslam, presumably after building Ryback into a mega face and then having him take the title off Cena in a big face/face encounter. Reports can sound misleading sometimes. When they said "after Wrestlemania", they could mean as in "anytime later in the year after Cena's title win." I don't see the point in jobbing Ryback out again this early when he barely has any steam left from all the times he's jobbed out already.
