Plot Summary: Johnny Depp is returning as Captain Jack Sparrow in a untitled third sequel in the popular Pirates franchise.

No word if any other cast or if director Gore Verbinski are returning - it seems unlikely Depp would return without Verbinski and Geoffrey Rush would seem to be an no-brainer. "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" teased audiences with Sparrow & Barbossa both in hot pursuit of the Fountain of Youth!

MTV said:
In case you’ve missed it when we told you about it or all the other times she’s said it, Keira Knightley came out to MTV today and confirmed yet again that she’s not going to have anything to do with any future Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

She tells them, “I think I can’t wear corsets for awhile.†Then she went off and signed up for 6 more corset-wearing period movies. But she sounds like she’s more than happy to let Pirates move on without Elizabeth Swann. She says, “I think it’s on to some different things.â€

With Johnny Depp signed and both Bloom and Knightley nowhere in site, our scoop from more than a year ago seems even closer to coming true. It’ll be up to Captain Jack Sparrow to fly the Pirates of the Caribbean flag alone from now on.

I haven't seen any of the movies, but I heard that the last one sucked.

The 1st one was awesome, the 2nd also delivered well but the 3rd one fell short of the hype... the only praise no. 3 gets is the fact I saw an old asian lady pirate leader. No.4 was sadly inevitable and it will most likely be better than the clusterfuck of no. 3, but still suck imo.

1 was incredible, 2 and 3 were passable at least, not as bad as you guys seem to think imo.

4 is fucking stupid, it's like having a Star Wars Episode 7. Everything has been cleared up, it'll just be weird.

I loved I, and I also loved II. III was adequate for a swashbuckling adventure. I'd love for a IV, only if the story demands. From the ending of III, the Fountain of Youth may play a big part in the fourth tale.
