Oh for sure. I mean my favorite movie is the Lion King... What it teaches kids is that ugly people are evil and will do bad things to people you love... and anyone with a scar on their face must be Hitler reincarnated. lolol

That last part was a joke but for real... Walt was a sick man. People would rather look at the flowers, butterflies and rainbows than admit that. I don't plan on having kids, but if I do one day, they wont be watching Disney movies till their old enough to know what reality is.

That is because the way the world has allowed it to be. It has been proven that better looking women advance in careers a lot easier than average or below average women. It is a shame. As for men... you need confidence and money to mean anything, or so we are told to believe this.

I think it is addressing the strings that hold every person down in their lives and breaking free and being yourself.

It also could be addressing the Illuminati's control on everyone's life and breaking free from their stranglehold.

And the design of Scar and the evil hyenas is done so not because the animators/creators decided to do it like that, but it is old old old down right ancient cultural doxas. Ever since man has been able to tell stories evil and darkness has been associated with the ugly and menacing.

But one most also remember, that for every movie where Disney depicts the villain as dark and ugly, there are films and stories that also showcase the fact that good can exist even in the darkest and "ugliest" of creatures. Prime example of this is the beauty and beast. Lion King 2 is another prime example, with the male protagonist having to prove that despite looking like Scar (lion Satan) he's a good person that can be trusted.

Or the fox and hound, which showcases how society paints certain people as lesser or evil. How to friends are taught to hate each other "because it is the proper way".

Sure, watching that as an adult (or older child), that is easily understandable but not as a young kid. I don't know. To me, much of what is considered to be labeled as "for kids" has too much subliminal crap in it.
