Petey Williams news, TNA reason on random firings

PWInsider.com is reporting that Petey Williams has already shaved his hair and goatee.

I've read reports of recent TNA releases including those we reported here crediting the others who originated the reports.

One key clarification is that the talent noted, Petey Williams, Jimmy Rave & Lance Rock/Hoyt, were not "released," rather each will not be renewed by TNA when current contracts are up.

All are still currently under contract and are listed on the TNA website roster page.

TNA rarely announces when talent leaves the company, and does not "wish them well in future endeavors" like WWE.

Obviously TNA ran an angle where Petey lost a match and his job, which will air on 2-19, so until then he's part of the company's TV product, and has a match with Scott Steiner this Thursday on iMPACT.

Jimmy Rave is still being promoted to appear for TNA on Feb 20 in Macon, GA.

I don't really have much to comment on but about the Petey Williams thing, either he never liked his facial hair that he was paid to have but maybe he was signed by another company already that asked him to bald? I dunno.

Oh I love Petey's work all around, don't get me wrong, but just like pretty much every wrestler to join the WWE, his best work would be needlessly throttled.

Saw this the other day. But yeah there not firings its just TNA does not wanna re-sign them which is dumb when it comes to Petey. But yeah I saw Jimmy Rave was still being in the TNA Ad for the live event next Friday(I'll be there). I wish Petey was gonna be there but oh well.

Word going round is Petey and that got fired cos the undercard had been there too long (Petey's been for what, 5 years?) and that it was getting boring and stale. Absolute Blue reason tbh.

It was too botched to tell what it was, and it looked like it could be either one, so I won't disagree, but regardless, he tried something similar.

I said the same thing in another thread. I don't think WWE would touch the Canadian Destroyer with a 10 foot pole. They won't even let Burchill do his Flip Bottom finisher anymore. What makes you think they'd allow a flip piledriver when regular piledrivers are banned?
