Petey Williams injured

The latest word on the TNA X-Division champion is that he will miss a minimum of 6-weeks. Williams suffered a broken orbital bone at Tuesday's Impact tapings. There is no word on what TNA will do with the X-Division title as of this report.

Hmm, could this mean that the "Terror Dome" will be for the vacated X-Division Title? I say vacated because I'm pretty sure they are going to vacate it now that Petey is injured.

I hope not. I think they should just have Petey manage Steiner for a few weeks, and jus have him get out of Title defences or something. Because six weeks is only missing one PPV and six impacts.....he can still stay as Champion. Just when he gets a long deserved awaited push, he gets injured. Damn, that sucks.

BTW, I'm not really liking the Steiner stache and hair look, everything else is good. Steiner is once again lookin' like a domiante badd ass heel. I hope he wins the Title, but very doubtful

Six weeks is unfortunate, but like KroniK, one side of me really hopes they don't strip him of the title. I mean, he just got it, and deserves at least a small run with it, with a few defenses.

The other side of me wants that Terror Dome match to be X-Division, and the best way would be to have the title on the line! That match would be awesome!

That sucks, I was actually expecting a lengthy title run. Don't really watch TNA too much but I have always like Petey.

Man this blows, I was really starting to dig the whole "Little Petey Pump" gimmick they had going on but this is wrestling, and shit like this does happen. Like Chessarmy said TNA will probably put the vacant belt up for grabs in the Terrordome match.

But, this match concept was thought of before Petey's injury. So maybe they had something in mind already to use that match. I just dont see the Title being on the line in the match

I think they should just come out and say what actually happened, that he was injured and needs to vacate the title. Maybe pin the injury on someone so Scott can feud with him for a while. Knowing TNA they're probably trying to conceive some zany story where Petey went to Canada to get some Molson Canadian beer direct from factory for James Storm, and customs confiscated his belt and arrested him because the leather it's made from is from some endangered rhino species and the gold it's made from was contaminated with SARS, and now the match will be for Number One Contendership at Slammiversary in a Triple Threat match with Petey and a Canada Customs and Revenue Agency debt enforcement officer. That officer... will turn out to be... CHRIS PARKS.
