“Pentagón Jr’s contract with AEW is scheduled to expire between August and September 2024. He is scheduled to become a free agent. There is interest on the part of WWE in his services. This free agency will be extremely interesting."

would be very sad to see him go but I also doubt he's going anywhere without his bro. I would expect them both to stay atm but crazier things have happened

WWE gotta get him so George Kittle's taunts in Madden are theirs and not AEW's

He'd be a big get for WWE, but he's for sure someone who can still do more in AEW and has generally been treated well, bad luck with injuries for him and Fenix aside. Hopefully he gets a good contract extension and can get a mix of singles opportunities in AEW.

Will be interesting to see what he decides to do. Lot of good opponents for him if he decides to go to WWE.

I wonder what Fenix’s contract situation is like. I’m sure that’ll play a part in his decision

If theyre doing the injury time and assuming both signed at the same time, Fenix is locked down for like 5 more years :slip:

I really don't like the concept of that added time both companies do now but I can't even say it's too unfair if you're not only getting your salary but medical is handled. Just makes already long contracts even longer and I like the free agency stories so it take that away from me

I can't remember exactly but I think the AEW contracts are structured by year but with a MAX number of dates you can be booked, but it's very high so even with like collision and ROH added for example, they were never worried anyone would get to the max.

Lucha Libre Online reported that Penta’s contract will be up in August or September and that WWE has interest in him. Penta was unhappy some time back when he wasn’t allowed on shows with CMLL talent, but to a degree, that looks like it’s been worked out. Tony Khan indicated he was confident Penta would stay with the promotion. Others have said Penta was looking at buying the rights to his name to make sure he could take the gimmick to WWE if necessary. The belief in other circles is Penta is looking at exploring his options when his current deal expires.

I would've loved if Vince was there to see his Ciera Mierdo routine for the first time. :Vinceout
