I was able to watch the 1st episode of this early and WOW.... this is going to be a great TV series!

For anyone who likes horror, the occult, fantasy, sci-fi, drama, great writing, and great acting.... and can stand a decent bit of blood I recommend you watch this show.. it premieres tonight on Showtime.

Synopsis: Some of literature's most terrifying characters, including Dr. Frankenstein, Dorian Gray, and iconic figures from the novel Dracula are lurking in the darkest corners of Victorian London. PENNY DREADFUL is a frightening psychological thriller that weaves together these classic horror origin stories into a new adult drama.

Just saw some of the promo work for the show and I'm definitely interested, I wish I had Showtime but honestly this seems like the kind of series I would want to watch back-to-back-to-back so I may wait until the season ends.

Don't get Showtime and haven't checked this show out aside from reading about it. Just noticed I could get the first season on DVD for $18. Worth it?

Hmm, if you have $18 to spare then sure.. The show is pretty good, at least I've found it entertaining for the most part.. Unfortunately I streamed my episodes of it and didn't give them money of any sort but hey other people in this world do a lot worse than stream a few programs here and there.

Yeah, with my internet service sometimes being good and sometimes not-so-good, streaming doesn't always go well for me. :haha: Sometimes it cooperates and other times I just get annoyed with the buffering or other issues and give up.

Ahh I feel that, the first season is 8 episodes so that's about $2.33 an episode give or take some change which isn't terrible though.. this new season will have 10 episodes which is awesome.

She was great in it. And really enjoyed the show as well. You know who else was good in it, Pierce. I really liked Bronson in it a lot.

Are you talking about Timothy Dalton?

Lol, did I mistake my Bond guys?
You did, but in your defense they are the two most similar Bonds among all the actors who played the character. And yes, Dalton is great in the series, but when isn't he?

I would answer that question but I would fear that I may have mistaken him and Pierce for the same person in all of their movies and such.

One of my favourite Dalton roles was in Hot Fuzz, he plays Skinner, the supermarket manager. Shame he only did two Bond movies.

Ah yes, Dalton was excellent in Hot Fuzz, again, I can see myself thinking that was Pierce Bronsan in that. Did Pierce do much else outside of Bond? I can only think of the Thomas Crown Affair.
