One-time UFC middleweight contender Patrick Cote appears to have found a second life at welterweight. Cote announced recently that he has signed a new four-fight contract with the UFC.

"The Predator" earned himself a decision victory over Bobby Voelker earlier this year. He is currently awaiting word on his next fight, but would also entertain a spot on the upcoming Ultimate Fighter: Canada vs. Australia season.

"I'm ready for that. I really hope they are thinking of me," said Cote, in an interview with Bleacher Report. "We've talked about my next fight, but nothing is signed, nothing has been decided. I appreciate the (Twitter) support from everybody (concerning TUF). Maybe it's going to help."

Cote is an alum of TUF, having advanced to the finals before falling to Travis Lutter. He was on the season that featured fighters looking for a second chance in the UFC, called Ultimate Fighter: The Comeback.

"If they ask me to do it, for sure I'll say yes," Cote said. "It would be a big honor for me."

This is good news, Patrick Cote is a tough veteran and although he has had his hardships in the past, the UFC always seems to want to bring him back. The fact that he's been on the show before definitely makes viable enough to be serving as a coach for the first Canadian season of The Ultimate Fighter. I'm glad that they've decided to keep him around.
