On Jan. 2 at a Las Vegas resort, UFC Heavyweight contender Alistair Overeem was accused of shoving a woman and causing her to "stagger back," according to a citation issued by the Las Vegas PD. Now the case has made it's way through the court system, as reported by the Las Vegas Review Journal.

Overeem was sentenced to 50 hours of community service and to undergo anger-management counseling as the result of a battery charge stemming from an incident at a Las Vegas nightclub on New Year's weekend.

Overeem, 31, also received a suspended 90-day jail sentence. If the conditions of his community service and counseling are met, the matter will be dismissed. Overeem is to appear in court on Sept. 26.

 Overeem also getting sent to anger management? Considering his job is to go into a cage and knockout other guys, I'm not too sure how that's going to work out.
