-- Though Randy Orton is presently involved in a program with Mark Henry, there is talk of building up another match against Cody Rhodes due to the amount of attention their match on Friday's SmackDown garnered.
I think they perfectly set up a situation where Cody would cost Orton his match at HITC against Henry. Keeps Orton out of the main event scene for the time being while Henry keeps building his run.

For me, it could be setup perfectly if this week on RAW and SmackDown they show footage or still images of his beatdown of Cody that left him bloodied. They could even cut to the announce desk before hand for Cole to lead into to it to warn of graphic footage or whatever.

I heard there was much longer segment/match from SmackDown! that seems to be getting some great attention. Is it worth going out of my way to get?

I really hope they use this as an opportunity to revitalise Rhodes' "grotesque" gimmick. Get rid of the clear plastic mask, get a real mask. Hide his face, you have real reason to now. Give Henry another strong win over Orton at HIAC and then have Orton and Rhodes feud for the rest of the year. Orton is without any shadow of a doubt worker of the year at this point and Cody is good enough for them to have a string of really solid matches, I think. I'd be all for this.

Randy Orton is the worker of the year? I guess Punk's run was just expected.

I do like the idea of making Cody a main eventer out of this but I think they can go the other way. He should get rid of the mask with Orton bringing the real Rhodes out. Someone that can compete with anybody on any night. It's totally possible.

Don't get me wrong, CM Punk has been on fire this year in terms of character but I don't think he's had better matches than Randy Orton.

Granted I think WWE's match of the year so far is Christian/Orton from Over The Limit but I think Punk's had a steadier year than Orton when it comes to PPV encounters. Well... He has also had better opponents, though.

To be fair I'd go with Eddie Edwards if we want to range out of WWE. His feud with Daniels and what I think is ROH's match of the year American Wolves v.s Worlds Greatest Tag Team from Stage 2 has him further up my card.

I prefer Wolves vs. O'Reilly/Cole from No Escape, personally. Edwards has had a solid year, he'd probably be in my top 5.

Far as worker of the year goes could go either way between Orton/Punk but I like Punk's body of work better.

But as for this yeah I agree that they could use this take the current gimmick Cody has to another level.

Problem I have with Cody costing Orton is that the cell match is the perfect setup for Kane to return and create a program which keeps Orton away from the belt.

I mean Kane or Big Show whoever returns first are pretty much in line for the next shot against Mark if he retains. So it wouldn't be hard for Kane to comeback on Smackdown or after the match was over so you can have Cody/Orton Kane/Mark

I want him to rip the fucking door off the cell. He can't do that on SD, ok :p

I'll agree with anything that keeps KANE away from the World Title.

This Rhodes vs. Orton feud could turn out to be more exciting (depends on how WWE go about it). But if it turns out boring and not done the right way. It could turn out quite lame. Plus Rhode's last feud with Randy, was at WM26 with Ted DiBiase Jr. in that mix.
