ONE FC 14 weigh-in results: Larson-Suzuki set for title fight, Osman-Lim scrapped
The official weigh-ins for ONE FC 14 are in the books, and the card is set with nine bouts after having a fight fall off.
Headliners Brock Larson and Nobutatsu Suzuki made weight for their title fight to crown the promotion’s welterweight champion – and likely determine who will be former Bellator champ Ben Askren’s first ONE FC opponent will be. Both Larson, a former UFC fighter, and Suzuki came in at 170 pounds.
In the co-main event, bantamweights Dae Hwan Kim and Kevin Belingon each were 134 pounds for their fight.
One bout got a late change as Bashir Ahmad stepped up on short notice for a lightweight fight against Peter Davis. Each was on target at 155 pounds. Davis was scheduled to fight Wagar Umar, one of Ahmad’s students. But according to ONE FC, visa issues kept Umar from arriving in time. Ahmad, who was to corner Umar, stepped up to save the fight – and moves up from his regular featherweight home for the 155-pound bout.
For her strawweight fight against Ann Osman, Sherilyn Lim failed to make weight, coming in more than five pounds heavy at 121.5. The weight miss forced the cancellation of the bout, which was slated for the undercard.
And flyweight Andrew Leone came in at 129.4 pounds for his bout against Shinichi Kojima. That fight will be contested at a 129-pound catchweight.
ONE FC 14 takes place at Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The card streams via online pay-per-view.
