Discuss all religious beliefs in here.

I am an Atheist. Don't believe in anything but science. I enjoy reading books by David Deuch. He brings up great theories, like:

Eventually we could create a Virtual Life so powerful that it was a copy of us. It was so powerful that then, they create another powerful Virtual Life. And they create one, then they create one, so on so forth. What is to say that we are not a Virtual Life and this "God" character is our Administrator.

Now I am in no way saying this true but I enjoy reading different theories. Now what are your Beliefs.

If you are really interested about religions and what believes and theories and stuff along that, you should actually read books, online texts and sites that will provide you with the FULL story. Other than that, you will be mislead with what some kids here will tell you as it wont be the full knowledge you would like to hear and understand.

I peronally am a Judasim or otherly called Jewish - I am a thourough believer in Judaism but I know or would like to know the following -

Sorry if this seems a bit out of line -a bit rude to ther religeons but serously I am being perfectly honest because I know little to nothing of Christianity and I have a question or two that hopefully a christian can answer me from one man to another. I am not trying to be rude if these questions baout your religeon come off rude I am not trying to say your religeon is bad but I just was thinking about Christianity and a few things got me a little confused hopefully a christian can answer me -

1# - If you guys believe that Jesus Christ was your god, your messiah so to speak if you christians believe that Jesus is your lord and believe that he was born a jew but died a christain ? How can this possibly be when you guys even say in your Bible that Christianity's existance the name Christianity the reliegeon Christianity started 300 Years after Jesus Christ had passed away - I am not flaming your religeon jsut simply asking a question, ? How can he be born a Jew and die a christian when Christianity was started 300 years after he was crusified?

Again I am sorry if this comes off as FLAMING YOUR RELIGEON I apolagise this is the religeon thread I am just a simple person a simple jewish person that is open to other beliefs and was thinking and has a question...

How about the fact that Jesus' divinity wasn't official until the Nicene Council?

And its easy. He died attempting to reform Judaisim, and instead his ideas were borrowed and twisted by a few men who sought control over others.

Buddy, if you want to play the "oh poor me, nobody understands my religion' you shoudl try being a Satanist. Most people don't even want to know what I beleive in. All I have to say is Satanist before most never speak to me about religion again.

he didnt die a christian. he was a jew but like MS said he was trying to reform the jewish community which was obviously getting bad at his time cause they killed him... and im pretty sure that there was christianity before 300 years after his death but they were just called "followers or the way" or "followers of jesus" or something like that. i think around 300 years after jesus's death was when christianity became legal and it began to grow extremely fast throughout the roman empire cause constintine made it legal...

I don't believe in God or the Devil. I believe in me. The word Satan is hebrew for accuser, Lucifer was the Roman God of Light. This is what we strive towards. We doubt, we seek enlightenment, and there is no supernatural power that gives a shit about us or cares about us. Its all on us. We are our own gods.

As opposed to those who cannot come to terms with their own ego and must extrenalise a a God which can do the things that they cannot. We realize that God is the creation of man, and not vice-versa. We suffer no pretentions in regards to religious organizations and the brutal control and homogenization they stand for. (and they call us the evil ones).

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you cannot believe what you want, but at least try and be honest with yourself. Do you believe in every single last tenet of your faith? If the answer is no you have no business calling yourself that.

That was the single stupidest post I have heard. This is a forum, that is what you do. You debate about subjects and put your point across. In fact I am very happy I made this. It is good to get some heated debating in here. And MS, I think your religion seems pretty sound. Although I don't really believe in any some I looks at and think, that could be true.
