Ok. I tuned in for Victory Road a month ago. It turned me to TNA. I watches part of an iMPACT! after that, and started following a little bit. I kept up on the news with Pacman, and even some of the behind the scenes rumors. I tuned in to Hard Justice at about 8:30 p.m. to see, well, what was hard to tell as Dustin Rhodes, through all that ridiculous make up. He was taking out a bloodied Chris Harris, under the name of Black Reign... Well, I saw this as just another ripped off WWE gimmick, and instead of gold and black, hes black and silver, should have called him silverpowder(I think that was SP who said that). But yet I continued to watch.
Next was the Steiner Brothers vs 3D match. This match was a normal PPV hyped match. Nothing TOO crazy or out of control happened in this match, in which the steiner brothers did eventually win. But yet I continued to watch.
Next up, Mike Tenay stands in the ring with yellow lights flipping around him announcing the much hyped Pacman Jones. Pacman comes out and Tenay asks him a couple questions in the ring. After a couple questions where Pacman tried to answer as humble as he possibly could, Ron Killings came out and threatened Pacman, telling him to watch his back wherever he went. Even told him to watch his back in the shower. They went on to give Pacman some mic time where, he did not seem to be trying to cool the talk about what has happened. The gimmick that he seems to have as what TNA calls him as "The Most Controversial Athlete" in sports, seems to have his character condoning what he was involved in in Vegas. With Pacman not being able to touch or be touched so to speak, left for this in ring promo to be quite poor and not really go anywhere. It also left it with a, in a way, thug look, that I dont think will get the ratings that they were hoping. Later on after Pacman went backstage. He was "attacked" by someone who is unknown, got a cut above his eye, and left in an ambulance with a neckbrace on. I dunno whats going on with this, but I think that what I heard on Sirius radio about the conspiracy with the whole Vegas thing may be playing out. TNA may actually be trying to get revenge on Pacman for what happened. My dad was thinking they may actually "hurt" him, but the way TNA is going, they may be looking for a career murder, by making him look worse than he is. But yet I continued watching.
Next was the Chamber of Blood or whatever it was. I thought this would be a good match. Heh, wow, thats what I get for thinking. First it started off with everyone outside fighting. Lights go out, boom, there is Sting. Everyone moved into the ring, and locked Sting out. But, somewhere, miraculously, Sting found wire cutters. He proceeded to make his way up and over into the ring. Abyss as was a couple others already bleeding from Cage's attack with the glass. But, that was about it. Cage then went over and out of the cage where Sting came in. Styles attempted to follow, but Aybss, did something onto the glass, which cut him and he bled, and got pinned. The match was over, just as fast as it got started. But yet I continued watching.
One of the best parts of the hour and a half I wasted watching this, was when Kurt Angle paid a visit to Dr. Nash. I love Angle when he is like this. Anyway, segment over with Nash telling Angle there are more important things in life than family. Angle then somberly made his way to the ring, dropping a belt, I chuckled. Anyway, the match it self was a good match. I did like watching it. The only thing I didnt like was 1. being that at the end one man would hold all the titles, and 2. how it was going to end. Sure, we knew that Karen was going to play it off and then turn on Joe. I just think that they could have had the match end a different way that a chair shot. However, they had to save some face for Joe, as they have buried him, as others have said as well. With him playing off as Angle is superior to him. Thats when I quit watching, when it was over. Why? I havent figured that out...
My thoughts. The PPV wasnt that...THAT...ok...ya, I really didnt like it much from what I saw. Like I said, Victory Road made me start watching, Hard Justice made me stop watching. I watched both WWE and TNA. Some say that TNA is predictible, some say its not. But if you look in perspective, everything has been done, and always will have some sence of predictibility to it. I mean the WWF has been doing this for going on 25 years. Its hard to compete with someone that has been doing it all for that long. It is also hard to compete with someone when you are putting all the titles on one person. It was a horribly bad decision. As was the Angle Joe fued. In having this fued, as I have said and others have said, and looking back on it, it has buried Joe, it has made him look inferior to Angle, destroyed his credibility. But even more so, TNA has not only buried one of their superstars, they have also inevitably buried their poster boy. Because by putting the X Division Title on Kurt, he has to lose to a Mid Carder, which destroys his credibility. Which also will stick a great mid carder back in the mid card for longer. Most times when a mid carder beats a main eventer, that is their push, and if they are winning the mid card title off a main eventer, they are stuck in the mid card, which again gets at the main eventer, because they lost to a mid card guy, who is still in the mid card.
Anyway, after watching this, I really dont like watching Joe as much as some others do. I really didnt like what I saw tonight from Joe. It wasnt my first match, but I just dont like watching him. So, Pacman didnt get them ratings, Angle vs Joe isnt getting them ratings. So here are my predictions. Daniels takes the X Division Title from Angle, Abyss takes the TNA Title from Kurt, Steiner Bros take the Tag Titles off of Kurt when he teams with Karen Angle. Then in November, when Joe has never been TNA Champ, and Angle is Titleless, again we will se Joe vs Angle, in a "They both are leaving TNA because TNA has buried both of their careers" match, where they end in a draw when they put each other in an ankle lock at the same time, where they both tap at the same time, thus being the last match they both are seen in. Anyway, I am off to prep for Monday Night Raw. I gave TNA a chance, and since their booking completly buries their stars with no hope of getting out, and that they have killed Pacmans career, or are working on it. I am going to continue watching SmackDown! because I <3 KHALI!!!!
What do you guys think. By the way, I know that a thread was closed, but I dont think that this should be in the Official Hard Justice Thread being as its all about the hype. I am not hating, or bashing as the other one did, and I am hoping people dont bash in this thread. I just want to know how you guys feel about what has been happening as of late in TNA.
