Political commentator, Marc Thiessen, a regular guest on The Kelly File, and a former speechwriter for President George W. Bush, thought some of the portions of Obama’s State of the Union speech sounded “eerily familiar” to him.
He says there were lines like, “our job is to help Americans find a future of hope and opportunity”, “a future of hope and opportunity begins with a growing economy”, and “a future of hope and opportunity requires that all our citizens have affordable and available health care” and “extending opportunity and hope depends on a stable supply of energy,” which Thiessen said all came from Bush’s 2007 SOTU speech.

“Barack Obama has gone from blaming George W. Bush to plagiarizing George W. Bush,” the former Bush speechwriter laughed.
