NXT to be bumped off its regular USA timeslot for Olympics coverage on Jul. 27 & Aug. 3

USA Network will carry Olympics coverage the nights of Tue. July 27 & August 3, bumping WWE NXT from its normal timeslot. It isn’t known yet when/where NXT will be shown those two weeks.

WWE to tape upcoming NXT episode

It was revealed earlier today that the July 27 episode of WWE NXT would not be airing on the USA Network. Instead, the episode will air on Syfy due to coverage of the Olympics on the USA Network as both Syfy and the USA Network are under the banner of NBC Universal.

Fightful Select reported today that the July 27th episode of NXT will indeed be taped. The plan right now is for the Tuesday, July 20th episode to air live then the crew will come back the following night on Wednesday, July 21st to tape the July 27th episode.

For fans who attend the weekly TV event, they’ve been invited to participate in the audience for both upcoming shows.

WWE held its Great American Bash-themed episode of NXT last week and last night, Karrion Kross successfully defended the NXT Title against Johnny Gargano in the main event before choking out Samoa Joe to end the show.

The big match next week is NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez defending her title against Xia Li.
