What does everybody think about who should win the upcoming #1 contenders match? I'm a big Tye Dillinger fan and would like to see him as the NXT champion but I'm one of the people hoping that wwe will have him debut as number 10 in the royal rumble (perfect moment debut for him). The other most likely winner would be Bobby Roode who would make a great (or glorious!) champion that could definantly carry the show. But I feel that if Cien Almas or Roderick Strong don't come out on top they will just fall back down the card and not be doing much in the way of TV time.

What are everyone else's opinions?

I think your right there. How obvious were the 4 qualifying matches though ay. Who would have picked Oney over Roode?

Exactly.

Roode's winning this and he'll probably beat Nakamura for the title, as well.

So nakamura can move up to the main roster leaving Roode to be the main guy on NXT.

It'll be Roode winning this Fatal 4-Way.. and I agree with PB, he will also take the strap from Nakamurea sooner rather than later, that way they can get Shinsuke's call up going.

If Nakamura dropped the title to Roode the night before the Rumble, and then debuted at the Rumble, I'd mark out. :nakamura4:

I don't see why it couldn't happen as soon as that, the company will probably wait on that and just debut Joe & Tye at the Rumble though and save Shinsuke for something else that way he gets his own spotlight on a debut rather than all 3 of them sharing the spotlight.

That would work, too.

And considering WWE is big on obligatory rematch clauses, I can see Nakamura's debut being postponed for Mania or the night after Mania.

I could see him doing the NXT show the day before Mania, maybe like participating in some of the pre-show for Mania and then the night after officially debut on Live TV. I'd prefer though the night after Mania, not sure as of yet how you would do it but we'll see closer down the line how the creativeness is looking.

I agree.

I, too, would much rather have him appear the night after Mania, I'd have him appear unannounced and totally out of the blue.

He'd receive a massive pop, for sure.

How often are they going to call people up now though? You'd have a few move up at the rumble and a few during the annual draft. So would they hold off on a few until those main call ups so they don't strip too much of NXTs talent too soon.

I think they're gonna raid NXT anyway.

I expect The Revival, Nakamura, Joe, Tye, Itami and Aries to be called up till Extreme Rules, tbh.

Those would be my guesses as far as next call-ups go.. That would still leave NXT with a decent load of talent, especially in the tag division even with Revival getting the call. I don't really see anyone else getting called up this upcoming year, other than Asuka probably maybe Roode depending on his NXT run, maybe one other tag team, but if that list gets called up before ER, those are really the only other 3 I can see getting a call-up before 2018.
