NXT Champ= Smackdown Champ?

So when the brand split happens do you think the NXT Champion should be promoted as Smackdowns new Champion? Assuming Somoa Joe will still be the champion, he is a both veteran and a fresh addition to the WWE roster. I'm also assuming Reigns or whoever is holding the WWE title will be drafted to Raw.

How do you think WWE should decide who becomes the Champion for the blue brand?

SmackDown's main/top title should be the IC title, or they should introduce something new.

I could see Shane drafting Somoa Joe to Smackdown just to stick it to Triple H.

And I can't see the IC title being the main belt, it just doesn't feel right.

Having the Intercontinental title as the main event title not only makes SmackDown look amateur but defeats the purpose of the Intercontinental title.

Also the NXT title is the NXT title. It's mean't to be a title for their developmental brand not their main roster brand. That makes 0 sense.

They should introduce a new title. Or have the WWE title hop from brand to brand.

The NXT title should remain on NXT. As for the other titles, I would put the US title on SmackDown, the IC title on RAW, and have the WWE title be the top title defended on both brands.

I'm all for integrating NXT with Smackdown for the Brand split but the NXT championship shouldn't leave NXT itself. Maybe the occasional title defense or Takeover build segment here and there, but the NXT title should never be represented as Smackdown's top title.

Call me crazy, but the nxt title should remain on...WWE NXT.

Smackdown needs it own world title of some kind. Shows true brand split and more equal credibility.

As others have said, the point of the NXT championship is to be a developmental title. It plays its part on NXT to help develop characters and would make absolutely no sense to make it be the Smackdown title.
