It's sad to see what has become of the great NWA. I know you can't blame it all on TNA, but hey most of Pro Wrestlings ills post-2009 have been blamed on them so why not add another one to the rap sheet!

Probably but outside of that there was still room for a respectable NWA brand to function, make a profit and provide future stars. Don't think anyone saw them falling this far. It's a shame them and TNA split. That relationship benefited both parties.

Same fate hit the mafia in Vegas when the coporations took over.

Well this is a long and complex debate which we have probably covered before anyway. Point is for wrestling to thrive it needs good indies. WWE has had spells when they almost went out of biz, which by your logic wouldn't have happened. And to this day they still struggle outside of odd great money spinning show or great year.
