WWE has released referee James Maritato (formerly known as Little Guido & Nunzio). He is now accepting independent bookings as a wrestler through Bill Behrens at ShowBis@aol.com.

I actually enjoyed Nunzio as a referee, sad to see him go after being back in WWE for a short time... Why bother signing someone back if you're just going to release them so quickly...

Maybe he asked for his release? He wants to wrestle again.

Came to mind then, you're probably right.

He's still fit enough to wrestle, I'd love to see him in Australia one day.

Pity. I liked that WWE had rehired him but this time as a ref. Maybe the door will be open for a return in the future if he wants to come back.
