In common, less clinical usage, nostalgia sometimes includes a general interest in past eras and their personalities and events, especially the "good old days," such as a sudden image, or remembrance of something from one's childhood.

I know some of us have this from time to time. And typically I get sad and this weird feeling in my stomach is there, which I can't describe that feeling. It's weird. But I know you guys have to have experienced this before. I guess where I'm going with this post is how do you feel about it? What was a time or event that makes these feelings arise for you?

Me, I got to thinking about my first ever forum I visited, and just how somethings went down that I wish I could change. Being young and not as adept about internet and forum shit as I am now, really messed up alot of things. I dunno, I guess in general the feeling can be good for recounting memories but those are so long ago, some you can't even get back. People involved in them, more than likely you can't speak to anymore for whatever reason.

Wow, can’t believe I missed this thread.

Man, I’m can be a real nostalgic person at times. I remember a while back I went to my mom’s house and started going through my old room. During my rumblings, I found me and my brother’s old 8-bit Nintendo system that was huge in the 1980s and early 1990s. I actually made a few posts on Facebook about finding the old console and a child hood friend of me and my brother started posting about the good ole days of the 1980s when the three of us along with two more of our friends would kill hours playing Super Mario World, The Original Final Fantasy, The Legend of Zelda, and Guerrilla War. For a while, I really missed those days and wish I could go back just to relive a week of those memories.

Also when going through my room, I found one of my State Championship rings from High School. Man, I thought I had lost it five years ago after a bad break up. This took me back to all the three a day practices that Summer and how everyone completely wrote us off before the season because we were in a rebuilding year. Not to mention we were 5-5 and went into the playoffs expected to lose the first round. This was my Senior year and this was the year I began to not give a damn about what people said about me nor how hard they put me down. That I knew they couldn’t affect what I did on the field, in my studies, or in my future career field. This was definitely the good ole days for me, but I think I still have a few more memories to make before I become to Nostalgic.
