As thought, the rumored Hulk Hogan/Eric Bischoff promotion has turned out to be false, but not completely. Instead of a traditional wrestling promotion the pair are working on a "Celebrity Wrestling" show, a concept first done in the UK with Joe Legend and D'Lo Brown.

The idea is to take celebrities and put them through several wrestling/gladiator style challenges. This new American version is thought to have more of a Tough Enough element than the UK show which flopped big time.

Both Hogan and Bischoff are using their TV contacts to get a deal with a big network. I'd assume VH-1.

LoL, keep dreaming for WWE vs. TNA vs. Hogan/Bischoff. I knew it from the start, Hulk Hogan making a new promotion was nothing but a false rumour. Let's see how the Celebrity Television show turns out, the UK one was a big flop!

...Yeah, they didn't even finnish the series over here. I didn't watch as I had no interest - I didn't know D-Lo was part of it though.

I can't really understand who such a show is to cater to.... I'd assume most wrestling fans would be indifferent and surely anyone else would be already be watching actual wrestling had it inspired any kind of interest in them previously.


Still, good news, I think the idea of Hogan running a promotion (at least until he's permanently retired from the ring) is a horrible idea.... It wouldn't so much be a wrestling fed as it would be a 'challenge Hogan' competition.

That show sounds horrible. What are they going to do?

I knew Hogan and Bischoff probably wasn't happening either... But damn it makes a lot more sense and is more exciting then this show. I'd almost rather watch Big Brother 9 or something.
