My issue with the man FKA as Baron Corbin was entirely booking. Dude was over-exposed and associated with some very... very... VERY painful creative for WWE. It gave me go-away heat with him. But he showed flashes of brilliance. NXT feud with Rhyno, early SD run, the early King of the Ring run from an in-ring standpoint (Shorty-G, not so much...The Dog food feud after, the less said about that the better) the Broke Corbin run for how brief it was, then the NXT run he just improved so much and the WOLF DOGS was a fun goofy meat-head tag team. Wish they rewarded him more upon his return to the main roster.
As for NJPW, it can be a great place for him to grow as a performer. He's had some great individual moves/spots throughout his career, so to be in a place where he can be allowed to do more than that ONE FUCKING HEAD AND ARM REST HOLD 90% OF A MATCH can only take him to another level. Tom himself is also very well spoken so I wish nothing but the best for the person.
