It's out today.

I'll post my thoughts after I see it tonight.

Discuss.

They got the right guy for the job, Jackie Earle Haley was fucking epic as Roarsach. He would have made an awesome Wolverine in my opinion too. I couldn't get into Hugh Jackamanoff as Wolvie and I was a HUUGGEEE comic geek in my childhood, but 85% of the Marvel movies ahve been turnoffs.

As far as this goes, I am stoked and if I didn't have one day left on Bruno and having not watched it, I would probably go catch this tonight.

The previous actually made this movie look good. Huge shocker considering most remakes hare horrible. I was going to see it yesterday but that didn't happen. I'll watch my next day off probably.

From the trailer, it looks like it brings very little to the table. It takes all of the "cool" parts from the original, but doesn't add anything new or profound. With today's technology, they could have really done some amazing bizarre things (these are dreams we're talking about) but from the looks of it, they took the low road and didn't bother to make the dreams any different than what we've already seen in past Elm Street movies.

This also would have been a great way to explore the underlying definition of dreams, what they represent and why we have them, but from all of the reviews I read and listened to, that aspect is completely ignored.

I'll post my final gripe below because it contains potential spoilers.

I have no desire to see this remake and despite my like of Jackie Earle Haley, his inclusion in it is simply not enough to get me into a theater seat.

(SPOILERS BELOW)

My final gripe is that instead of being a known child molester and murderer, Freddie's only suspected of being a molester. They never come out and say he did it, as though they're trying to make him a semi-sympathic character. Okay, then, he's not a murderer, why does he wear the glove? And none of the kids that grow up remember he molested them? Come on! I can understand a few of them blocking the painful memory, but all of them? I ain't buying that.

The original is definitely better but out of the big three remakes, it's the best.

I stopped watching the Myers remakes. Just end that already. Jason I stopped after Jason X I think. But I did see and enjoy Freddy vs Jason. This Kruger one didn't look bad. I didn't like the 1st preview I saw for it, but the next one after that had me hooked.

Halloween 2(Remake) is one of the worst horror movies I've ever seen. The old series was good up until they did a Halloween movie that didn't fucking feature Myers.

I prefer all of the three remakes over Freddy vs. Jason. Maybe that's because I've seen Freddy vs. Jason a million times. All of the remakes were enjoyable flicks. Halloween has the most intimidating killer with a 7 ft Myers, ANOES has the best acting and attempt at story telling, and F13 has the hottest chicks and the most brutal kills.

A Nightmare on Elm Street has been my favourite series since I was a kid. I have two brothers so one was the Friday the 13th mark and the other was the Halloween mark. They used to make fun of me all the time because I picked the 'pussy killer', lol.

Freddy's the best, man. I love how he plays around with you before he fucking slices you, rofl. I have a Freddy's Dead poster I asked a video store to give me when they were done with the promo, I have a wicked Freddy figure that talks and I used to dress up as him on Halloween when I was in elementary school.

I haven't seen the new one yet (and if someone can find a working torrent, I will love you for life) but I don't care if it blows, I just want to see it, anyways.

Gay without Robert Englund but oh well.

Rob Zombie is the biggest fucking blueberry ever. His films aren't horrors, they're gore fests that simply make you feel sick. They're for annoying fucking 14 year olds who can go around talking about the films like they're bad ass. soyeah.
