We can now confirm that Eric Bischoff is definitely in talks with CMT about starting up a new wrestling promotion with Hulk Hogan after the "Celebrity Wrestling" reality show run ends. The general feeling is that CMT will get more serious with talks depending on how well celebrity wrestling show does.
Many see this move as pretty difficult with almost no big-name talent not under contract to WWE, TNA or Ring of Honor right now with the exception of Bill Goldberg, Rob Van Dam and Bobby Lashley. However mid-card talent shouldn't be a problem. Most of the mid-card wrestlers Bischoff signed and developed relationships with in WCW were very young at the time. For example, Buff Bagwell is still a year younger than Batista and Mark Jindrak is two years younger than Shelton Benjamin.

So Bischoff is doing a celebrity wrestling show, and then he's opening an actual wrestling promotion afterwards? He should just open up the real wrestling promotion first, and then if that fails then try the celebrity thing.
Thoughts?
