According to PWInsider.com, WWE Studios are currently developing a feature film around SmackDown World Heavyweight Champion and WWE legend The Undertaker.

Not many details have been released about the project, but the film is slated to be a western set in the 1880's which will focus on the origin of "The Undertaker" character.

To be honest, as a concept, there's plenty worse out there.

That's not to say the movie will be any cop tho'.

I think if it is in 1800's western it could add a little bit more depth to the taker character. Also means taker wont be in the wwe for much longer.

Hey why cant a WWE film seal his near 2 decade run with the company. I smell WM 26 HOF for the Deadman as well. As long as the film isnt rated PG

I don't get what they could actually do with the film? I younger, version of Undertaker that eventually gets killed yet comes back to life to wrestle? I dont' get it? like seriously, I don't understand what they could use as a plot and what they could talk about the whole film.

Sooooooo..... Undertaker is from the 1880's? But then he was a biker for a while...then he wasn't?
LOL if Undertaker will actually be in the movie.

I guess thats the value of it: unpredictability which is something WWE needs to work on

Lol, not to mention, if it focuses on the origins of The Undertaker, being a western and all, how the hell will it link to the whole Paul Bearer/dead fathers deal they already have as Taker's backstory.

Like any of WWE's storylines have actually made sense when put side by side anyway...

WWE 'forgets' storylines all the time, who's to say they wont just forget the Biker Taker ever happened or could say that Take is immortal and the biker was a reincarnation of the Undertaker...

The original Undertaker's story would make sense with him being from the 1800s. His old promo's showed him out in the desert (Death Valley) and the few times they did show what could of been his house it was dusty, no electricity, out in the middle of no where kind of shack.

It COULD work but knowing WWE Films, it wont.

Anybody else reminded of the Ultimate Warrior comics WWF put out as a type of Warrior origin? I think they did the same with Mankind and possibly Undertaker.

So long as the Undertakers movie doesn't involve him performing bondage rape on Santa Claus, it will NEVER be as bad as Warriors comics.
