New Wave Wrestling was created May 11, 2008. Gabe Sapolsky decided to leave Ring of Honor as their booker and form a new promotion. New Wave Wrestling, bringing in talent and staff from all over the world. Gabe Sapolsky developed a booking team of the most genius wrestling minds ever by gathering Raven and Paul Hayman. Gabe secured a one hour tv deal with WGN called Friday Night Clash. Gabe also announced a pay-per-view deal in which the promotion will air 5 live pay-per-views depending on sales will determine if there are more with the first one titled Xplosion.

!FRIDAY NIGHT CLASH!​

With the first Friday Night Clash being on 5.16.08 the card is being announced as of now.

To determine the New Wave Wrestling World Champion it will be AJ Styles VS Matt Hardy VS Christian Cage in a triple threat match. This match will put wrestlers known all throughout the world together.


A match featuring two top stars as Carlito and Samoa Joe go one on one. The two have had a great deal of fame and will be putting it all on the line for honor.


A match showcasing the different nationalities as Naomichi Marufuji and up and comer Matt Sydal go one on one.

Hart Foundation 2.0 faces off against Latin American eXhcange in the first ever New Wave Wrestling Tag Team title match.

Jimmy Rave will battle against Nigel McGuinness. This match will blend two different styles against each other to start New Wave Wrestling off with a bang.

Several Guest Appearances Scheduled.
