New U.S Champ, Matt Hardy

After beating MVP recently at Backlash and winning his biggest title in WWE, what will be next for Matt Hardy???

I think Matt will carry the fued with MVP on for a little bit and then will go onto fued with other superstars such as, Jamie Noble (hopefully), Elijah Burke(talent share), Shelton Benjamen(talent share), Kofi Kingston(talent share), Kenny Dykstra, Chuck Palumbo and probably alot more........thoughts?

Well I can see him reigniting his fued with Gregory Helms if and when Shane returns. Before Helms returns well I think it will be MVP and then maybe John Morrison when He finishes with The Miz after they break up and fued for abit before him I think it will be MVP. Okay I think that is all.

Is it just me or do I see say by mid 09 a US title run by Colin Delani and I am being serious I have been saying a title run from him for months now because he is just no ordinary jobber usually they just let him go after one show but he keeps coming back. They are going to make something out of him..

That was a great match last night, and Im glad Hardy won.
I think that this feud will continue for a bit now, as MVP will want a rematch and they have great matches together. Then I see a feud with somebody who comes over in the draft.
But I dont think this person will be a mid carder (burke, carlito, etc) I think it will be a Main eventer who isnt in the title picture at that time.
Id also like to point out that this feud between MVP/Hardy with all the memorable matches and segments, like basketball matches, beer drinking contests with Austin, and when MVP was defending his title against other "worl" champions from other countries, trying to act as if it was a challenge although they sucks, and all the other moments, along with the MVP/Benoit feud have brought the US title back to the top. It has credibility and is now in mym eyes an ACTUAL stepping stone to a world title.

Finlay's too old for a World title run and the crowd doesn't react enough to him , and Kennedy, MVP, and Hardy are all young guys who, by what this list shows us, will become world champs soon enough.

Waaaaaaaaaay overdue for Matt, I can't believe he's just winning his first second tier title at this point, the far superior Hardy in my opinion. I can see this feud going maybe one more PPV at most, I really don't see the title bouncing back to MVP as I'm sure they've got bigger plans for him, a move over to RAW hopefully. They've got a lot of great potential feuds to throw Hardy in at this point. Hopefully they make him seem like a credible US champ and don't leave the belt stagnent on him as they did with the IC title on Jeff.

Good points there. I just meant that compared to the IC title, its really elevated as the next best thing to the World titles. And as you said, it always has been a very good title, Im just saying that as of late, its gotten even more valuable after the amount of great matches the past 4 or 5 champs have had with it. Especially this feud.
And the IC Title has really fallen off, its hardly even valued anymore IMO.
