TNA sent out a mobile text alert to their subscribers yesterday claiming they'll be doing a "fully interactive PPV" later this year. One would assume it will be similar to WWE's Cyber Sunday.

Looking forward to it. TNA is all about fan interaction and trying to modify their angles based on fan reaction, which is very refreshing.

I think that this will be a very good idea. It will probably be the ppv in september i forgot what that one is called. Leading up to the bound for glory ppv in october. I bet you it will be rhino vs abyss in a cell type of match i can see a heel rhino turn.

I don't think it will be anything like Cyber Sunday. Firstly, WWE knows who's going to win the polls because most of their fans are predictable. TNA's fans are generally smarter than WWE's, and might vote for a heel, so it's alot harder to book ahead. Typical TNA would just leave everything till the last minute and decide who's going to win it. Unpredictable? Definately, but I think it'll hurt TNA's long term plans.

^^No, it wouldn't hurt TNA's lnog term plans because I think they would be smarter than that. They'd only have opponent choices for matches that wouldn't really affect feuds and for feuds they would want to go a certain way they'd just make the fans choose a match type or special enforcer etc. But still, we all know where this idea came from don't we...

Would it matter if angles 3 options for opponenets for world title where cage abyss and joe people would pick joe does it matter whos heel? Tna could pull it off and have cage and abyss fight for number one contendership.

As long as whatever they do is naturally occuring and not fixed like Cyber Sunday I'm all for it.

If heyman was there i bet you the event would be awesum but with russo there i dunno. Should be better than wwe's efforts though.

IMO, like Cyber Sunday, this isn't a great concept. Regardless of how genuine the polls are, It's all too last minute for anything good to come of it (Unless it IS all staged, in which case it's a sham and no different to a normal PPV format) unless you are prepared to drag your company precariously away from already existing storylines.

WWE/TNA should just pay closer attention to fan rumblings about anticipated match-ups etc.

(IMO, that is the flipside of the 'internet in wrestling' coin.... Should be easier for the promotions to guage what the fans wanna see, or more efficiently for them, when an angle or whatever stinks.)

The best way to do this would be as a one off PPV a year. Sort of a fan appreciation night where it really has shit all to do with storylines and they just let the fans pick what they want to see.

Thing is tna have dull stipulations so look out for a stupid match as always. Young vs storm in a teacup match gown match or beer bottle match.

Maybe TNA will promise viewers an interactive PPV, but then not give it to them! Like when they promised free back stage passes and then didn't give them out, lol.

In all seriousness I guess we'll see what they do. Cyber Sunday is cool, but it's not amazing imo. I dunno, we'll see what happens I guess.

Yeah, I was just thinking similar myself....

I dunno how you'd suggest tie-ing that in with TNA without rockin' the kayfaybe boat a little too much (I am not a regular viewer so can't comment), but re: WWE, maybe if there was a drafts were more frequent they could combine the two for a RAW special (or a PPV if the event should warrant it). You'd hope that all storylines would be kinda concluded by draft time and so there'd hopefully be freedom for match-ups and no fueds to damage.

My vote: Vince Vs a cast of 10 fatty's & "bigmen" that he's rammed down our throats over the last 20 years in a no DQ handicap match! :sq_yellow_wink:

I just don't buy it.... I don't think it's any less pre-determined than any other card (not refering to win/lose in this instance). Any big choice such as "which wrestler" will always have a clear favourite in the list (eg. HBK @ Cyber07) and as for stipulations, if you state "Cage, Ladder or Streetfight" I think the outcome of a vote would always be divided enough for no suspicion to be arise (unlike there would if some lame stip won out over the likes of HIAC or TLC). Guest enforcer/ref they KNOW who has the most fan appeal... e.g. This year: Austin will always win out, even against Foley or someone popular and I really don't think Foley and whoever else it was were sat backstage this year awaiting the results to come in. LOL

Considering that they get a 1mil fanbase every week it's safe to say that they aren't many casual fans that watch TNA or the number would jump around alot more tehn it has so this is great for the fans of TNA.

Though i think TNA fans might see this too much for what it is
