New Silent Hill game

Konami ended last night's press event in San Francisco by showing a teaser trailer for a new Silent Hill game. It's unclear at the moment if this is a remake of an older title in the series, or a brand new chapter.

The video showed a blonde-haired man waking up on a public bench in a foggy city. The man looks around confusingly as hears footsteps by nearby creatures. The trailer ends with a quick shot of one of the creatures attacking the man before going black.

No platforms were announced in the trailer, but Konami promises to have more details at this year's E3 in June.


Fucking badass. Silent Hill is one of the all time best PS1 classics. I haven't gotten around to playing 2-4 on the PS2 but they're critically acclaimed so I'm sure they will be great. I've seen my brother play Homecoming on the 360 and it was pretty great. Plan on getting that for the PS3 at some point. Not so sure I want to see a remake of Silent Hill 2. Especially if it has no combat like Shattered Memories. Hopefully a new next gen game.

Been desperate for a decent Silent Hill since three, been too long a wait.

meh....I like the freaky parts of silent hill games, but the combat or monster fighting thing is all goof'd up for me....

it's one of those games I avoid(like racing, metalgear, whatever)....

Silent Hill was good, for quite some time I actually prefrerred it to Resident Evil tbh. But, the last few RE games have blown Silent Hill out of the water imo.

Resident Evil 5? lol it's not even the same style genre anymore. It's unfair to compare that and RE4 with Silent Hill. Especially RE5 as that's made for co-op.

Resident Evil needs to go back to the basics. Zombies. Mansion. The T-Virus. The 1st Resident game scared the shit out of me. Movies could barely do that anymore. A fucking game did. I fell in love with it then and there. But now they got plagues and gibberish talking things now. Back to the Zombies please. I'd pay for a Resident Evil 1 remake on PS3.

Why? There is already a remake on the Wii/GC. But this is about Silent Hill which is far more "scarier" than RE.

Not sure I've ever played Silent Hill. I may have. There was a game I played where I was walking in a school and the screen kept flashing and some ghost or some shit kept appearing. It may have been Silent Hill but I ain't too sure.

Get Silent Hill off the PSN through PS1 classics. Fucking worth it.
