At the co main event of UFC Fight Night 42; Lightweights Diego Sanchez and Ross Pearson slugged it out for 3 rounds which saw Pearson dominate Diego in convincing fashion. But apparently it wasn't convincing enough for the judges as two judges awarded the victory to Sanchez, leading many fans to wonder just how stable the judging board is in New Mexico.

The controversial decision caused uproar from fans, UFC President Dana White, and even Pearson's corner who appealed the decision to the board in a meeting Wednesday. Ultimately, they ruled that Diego would get to keep his W after even putting in all the word Pearson had.

Dana White spoke on the matter last week though, and awarded Pearson his win bonus. He also said that when it comes to future match making that Pearson would be treated like a winner. Which means he will get to fight more high ranked fighters after this fiasco.
