NEW MATCHES ANNOUNCED FOR SUMMERSLAM..Updated Card..

On last night’s edition of Monday Night RAW, a Diva Battle Royal and an Intercontinental Championship bout between Carlito, Mr. Kennedy, and Umaga was confirmed for Summerslam this Sunday.

The following is a list of confirmed matches for this year’s WWE Summerslam event:

John Cena vs. Randy Orton - WWE Championship

Triple H vs. King Booker

The Great Khali vs. Batista - World Heavyweight Championship

Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero

John Morrison vs. CM Punk - ECW Champion Championship

Diva Battle Royal - Winner Gets Title Shot

Carlito vs. Mr. Kennedy vs. Umaga - Intercontinental Championship

well,they had to add matches to make a 3 hr PPV..so i think this lot can make up good time.. i definately hope they hold a match for the US championship and the Cruiserweight championship as well..then we got all the titles on the line except the women's championship..Candice,go take a bubble bath,relax and enjoy the show,honey! lol

Meh, it looks decent. Still way too many titles, I mean do the tag titles even exist on PPV anymore? Punk vs. Morrison, and Chavo vs. Rey are the only matches I actually think are going to involve good wrestling. Orton vs. Cena could have solid entertainment if booked correctly. Good to see Triple H back as well, but I can't say I'm forward to his match with Booker. I honestly can't see this PPV getting higher than a 6/10...

good point there..i forgot WWE also has tag team championship belts as well..that title doesn't get any attention these days..

Decent card but really only one good match and that's John Morrison vs CM Punk and it's only cause Morrison can actually wrestle. The other matches are just fillers to me and don't even matter. Well, the divas match matters has Melina and well...she makes the match better for me.

Uh... every match on that card other than Batista/Khali and the Diva match will be decent to great for sure, since all of those can put on a great match and wrestle, so I'm looking forward to this PPV a lot, for once... NEW WWE CHAMP! And of course return of Triple H.

summerslam will be watched very closely by WWE fans and WWE ITSELF FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS :
1) HHH returning that too against a match with King Booker..two former heavyweight champions and looking for their individual title shots at the gold
2) Randy orton might end Cena's WWE champ streak at last
3) If Punk loses,he might not get another title shot as he has himself said that this will be his last try at the gold against morrison
4) another returning superstar,Rey mysterio..everyone will be interested to see how he deals with Chavo and will WWE push him again for the WHC title..
5) both carlito and Kennedy have shown their desire to fight for WWE gold,how can they match up against Umaga,who doesn't seem to be bothered by anyone for the IC title till date..
6) Chance for both Mickie and Melina to win the battle royal and challenge Candice for Women's Championship
7) can Batista finally break the PPV Jinx and win the WHC title against Khali,cause if he doesn't,time will be running out for him as the Dead Man is returning at Unforgivan and Kane around as well to fight for #1 contendership for the WHC title..

so an interesting Summerslam,no doubt..plenty of questions will be answered regarding various superstar's upcoming future in WWE..

summerslam is IMO the 2nd biggest ppv of the year after wrestlemania and they've come with a really good looking ppv on paper.Let's hope the matches will live up to expectations and there won't be any dq endings.

The matches all look pretty good except the SD Main Event I just can't picture this being a good match. Anyway the return of HHH should be good. US Title not on the line so far sucks. Tag Titles don't exist according to McMahon so that is pising me of as the Tag division was good to see.

well well.we all r waiting for the return of HHH..just hope HHH vs Booka is a good match to watch..lol..what a coincidence..Booker's shouting "All Hail King BookAAA" and HHH chanting " The King Of Kings Is BACK! "

I think I did overlook one other match and that's HHH vs Booker T (Neva gonna call him...you know?) I see HHH beating the hell out of him and showing him who is the King of Kings.

On the Diva's match I see one of these women winning or even somehow all of them being pushed to the title.
Victoria Reason she's been out of the spotlight for awhile in regards to the Women's title and I think her time might be now.
Beth Phoenix ReasonI think the WWE might try and pull a Chyna on us again but Beth I think has the goods just needs some type of mic skills.
Melina reason to regain her title and show Candice her place again. (No offence to Candice)
Mickie James reason Dark Horse in my view as she is the smallest yet the fiesties in my view. Not much of a wrestler but can put on a show.

I like Candice but I can't help but see how the WWE or herself keeps ducking the other Divas when other Champions never did duck. Melina being the one who defended every ppv.


Now here's my thoughts on the other matches

Rey Rey will put on a show and beat Chavo and avenge himself.
C.M. Punk will lose and be forgotten for a bit and then maybe moved to RAW where he could be descent and be forced to actually wrestle instead of using martial arts only. Come on this is wrestling and I think that's why he won't get the win. Besides John Morrison is being backed and pushed by HBK himself. Read something in PWI back a few months.

Batista might pull off the upset and do what he hasn't been able to do at the pay-per-views and that's win the World title but I doubt it cuase that would screw-up the future storylines with the Undertaker facing Khali for the title down the line. Yeah, I called it remember that?

Carlito and Kennedy agianst Umaga for the IC title?
Kennedy or Carlito walk out with the title. It's a way for Umaga to lose with out getting pinned. I see Kennedy getting the win but becuase of what they both have said which is true about certain people they may be jobbed to Umaga. If anyone has seen RAW lately or two weeks ago. When Kennedy and Carlito both told John Cena the truth. Did you notice how pissed off he got? That means they 1.)said the truth.2.0 Said something off script and it was the truth. Either way this might be a good match if Umaga doesn't screw it up and actaully plays off these two the right way.

well,almost all the divas are taking part inthe dival battle royal..so that should be interesting..Umaga might be pushed by WWE for bigger things if he is mean t to lose the iC title this pPV..
