I haven't been interested in rock music all decade. Nothing interest me in the mainstream. Only thing I listen to that's come out in the past few years is Eagles of Death Metal. Aside from that everything else is from the 90's.

Korn, Limp, Rage, Alien Ant Farm, Sugar Ray, Sum, POD, Incubus, Offspring.

That's pretty much sums up what I listen to rock wise.

Calling all metal heads, introduce me to new bands!

Classifying Hatebreed as "thrash" automatically makes your point moot...lol.

Honestly to ease yourself back into the rock/metal game I highly recommend you check out the new Alice In Chains album above everything else. Really phenomenal stuff. It's called "Black Gives Way To Blue"...give it a listen.

I think a lot of the stuff you're throwing at Nino may be a bit of a shock to his system. Did you even take a look at the kind of stuff he says he listens to? LOL

How is Hatebreed not thrash?

And looking back, you may be right about the stuff I was throwing at him, but who knows, he might like what he hears.

As usually noumenon is the only one that can read.

I've heard good things about Gaslight Anthem and Motion City Soundtrack. I'll listen to a few tracks and get back to you guys.

I think I threw people off when I asked for all metal heads lol

Yeah Nino, what I would reccomend some of the not so heavy bands like 30 Seconds To Mars, Seether, Breaking Benjamin, The Used etc. The Alice in Chains album is quite good also.

Sixx AM is pretty kickass, I'd also reccomend some Papa Roach, their newest album Metamorphosis is quite good imo.

Tool
Deftones
Alice in Chains
If your looking for some "not too heavy" but just heavy enough, thems the good shits.

Type O Negative
Black Label Society
Mudhoney
Soundgarden
Faith No More
Live
Red Hot Chili Peppers

That's a good amalgam of genres of rock right there. Hope it helps.
