OOC: This place's BTB is humiliating. Every good wrestling site needs at least two running BTB's. I have hope for Chucho's, so here's second.
Backstory:
WWE and TNA are both to prominent wrestling companies, along with ROH. While some may think they have long and prominent lives ahead of each other, they don't. They're destined to shut down within 5 years. What happens for wrestling and sports entertainment when they shut down? Where does one get their wrestling kicks? One Mister Ken Anderson has the answer.
Based out of Green Bay, Wisconsin, is the new, at the time, federation of NCF. Started in late 2011, following Anderson's release from Impact Wrestling, Ken had a vision: To be the top company. Well, who would wrestle for him? He surely had no clue. He began mulling around with local superstars, until one day, he got a call from Sinclair...
-"Hello? Who is this?"
-"Ah, Ken Anderson. Glad I got a hold of you. Listen, I have to get rid of Ring of Honor. We're shutting our doors. If you like, we can send interested talents your way."
-"Uh, yeah. Yeah, sure."
So, despite Sinclair's lack for informing us as to why he had to shut down, he did in April of 2012. That was the day Ken got a hold of his first big stars. Now, down the line, he knew that six wrestlers from Ring of Honor could not suffice for his overwhelming lack of well known talent. Later, in June of that same year, a knock at Ken's door woke him early one morning...
-"Who the hell is up at this time? Hulk?"
-"Ken, I just wanted to let you know that Impact's dying days are done. We've given up. So don't be surprised to hear from wrestlers looking for deals."
-"You can't have a job here."
So, following Hogan's slight disappointment at his inability to hook a job with Ken, he did send some talent Ken's way. Anderson took these well, adding a good variety to his now growing roster. He's jumped to get a hold of releases from the WWE, and he just waited for the day he could snag someone big.
January 2013 rolls around, and Ken announces he's going nationwide with his television broadcasts, and trying to rival the WWE. Vaguely a memorable two and a half years, it was. He put out good shows, but he just couldn't compete with the WWE's worldwide notoriety. No matter what he tried, he couldn't get a foot solidly in the door. But one day...
-"What do you mean we can't get the deal done?!"
-"Hunter, calm down, we knew it would happen one day."
-"John. We're closing the company because we can't get over a workers strike? Do you know what this looks like for us?"
-"Look, I know what it means. But we have no other choice. The WWE is dead, Hunter.
John Laurenitis, unable to make a deal with his workers, has to tell Hunter that the WWE died. Hunter makes a formal announcement, making many television headlines, announcing that the deal could not be made and the WWE was done. this is it! This is Ken's big break. 5 days after Triple H made his announcement, not too soon, or too late, Ken Anderson hit the press. He announced to the world that he will soon fill the hole left by the WWE. He says he respects the company, but it's his time to shine now. He's made a deal with the USA Network and Spike TV to host his tv show, plus, he's run a website for worldwide fans to watch.
Who wants to watch what we've been seeing for the past 70 years. Ken had an idea. Sure, the WWE may have done it first, but it was only a competition for a little while. Ken is planning to base his company off of Brand Extension, and more specifically, Brand Competition. NCF was split into two shows, Ignition and Vortex. Ken then soon released a complete up-to-date roster, complete with commentary teams, GMs, and ring announcers:
Ken, after announcing this, closed his doors to get his company in order. He organised TV time, the website, and most importantly, Championships! He decided to go after having four;two on each show.
OOC: The shows will not have a special time to be written, and will probably done in review form to save my stuff for WKF.
