Episode 1: Pre Season
PRE SEASON
Opening Scene Bruton park Training Ground:
The Team are just shooting at Mac untill the coach Nigel Baker takes over and tells them to stop and line up on the half way line.
Baker: On Sunday we are playing Puxton qualyfing match for the Somerset Cup that is the only Trophy we have ever won so lets Qualify and WIN IT!! Now lets do some training.
They do some running warm ups and then some passing,crossing and then shooting then a little game with the teams like this:
Team 1:
GK: Gilbert
DF: Clackson Palmer
MID: Luff
ST: Dowding
Team 2:
GK: Matt Roach
DF: Fraizer Richards
MID: Marsh
ST: Hearn Dyer
They both started well but the numbers advantage eventually helped team 2 to the lead with Hearn smashing the ball into the net 1-0. But they came back with Dowding sliding through the defence but his size did not help when Richards slided into a hard tackle and Dowding falls hard free kick given Dowding steps up but scuffs up the shot terribly.
HALF TIME 2 MINUTE PAUSE
Both teams refreshed come out firing but Dowding sprints pass evryone and slides the ball through Roaches legs to make it 1-1 but Team 2 get right back up as Hearn crosses the ball in and Dyer lays his head into it but Gilbert cathes it easily and kicks it out but not far and straight to Marshes feet as he volleys it into the top corner which was a subline finish as that gives Team 2 a 2-1 lead as the coach calls them in.
Baker: Okay good game but against Puxton we cannot allow those mistakes last season Puxton came 4th in their league so lets show them remember the name Bruton so here is the team
GK: 1 Gilbert
DR: 2 Palmer
DL: 3 Roach
DC: 4 Richards and 5 Fraizer
MR: 7 Ben Hearn
ML: 6 Nick Luff
MC: 8 Peter Clackson 11 Jack Marsh
ST: 9 Dyer 10 Dowding
SUBS
Matty Rydell (need a sub for the regulations from the U 9s team)
MATCH DAY Sunday
Match: Qualyfing for Somerset Area Cup Bruton United Vs Puxton
Ground: Kings Ground Bruton
Weather: Cold and Slightly Raining
Rules: 30 Minutes each half Atleast 1 SUB
TEAM TALK:
Baker looks around the room and realises Luff is nowhere
Baker: As Nick has no showed Matty time to step up you are starting!! Okay boys lets DO THIS!!
ON THE FIELD
As Bruton see Puxton come out they see some tall players and some fast runners and realise they could be in with some trouble. They warm up with shots on the keeper as parents and local Bruton kids come into watch, as the referee tells the players to get into posistion.
Kick Off
Puxton win the toss and kick off and keep the ball as they soon decide to push up but young Matty goes into a big player for Puxton who just shoulder barges his way through Matty as he falls down as he speeds through the defenders Gilbert comes out but he gets ball over him and goes to tap it in but Matty runs back and takes the ball from the big players feet and runs up field and delivers a ball to the right to Hearn who runs with the ball and dodges a tackle and passes it straight to Dyer he shoots but the keeper pushes it away for a corner, Hearn goes to take it but he gives Clakson a pass as he shoots and the keeper pushes out but then Dowding plays it fast and low and bags it 1-0 Bruton as Dowding celerbrates with his team mates. 10 minutes gone.
Puxton kick off fast and furios as they go through everyone and they go for a kick outside of the area but the keeper holds it and rolls it out quikly to Clackson who progresses up the field with a nice pass to Marsh who gets taken down by pulling on the shirt but the ref makes no call as Puxton break through and get past the Centre Backs and fires the ball but Gilbert pushes the ball up and it hits the bar and goes in 1-1!! Puxton celerbrate with a contreversial goal!! At 20 Minutes.
Bruton kick off but quite tired as they just cheaply give away the ball but win it back as eventually half time comes.
Baker: Okay this team is tough and powerfull we are not really the best team around but lets do this!!
2nd Half
Bruton kick off play around early on nothing happening but then a nice upfield kick by Richards as Hearn latches onto it and gets into the penalty area as he fires the ball straight past the keeper 2-1!! At 35 minutes
Then the rest of the game is quite until the final 5 minutes when Marsh sprints upfield shoots the ball the keeper blocks it and on the rebound Dowding taps it into the net 3-1!! FULL TIME
Baker: Good job great win Dowding man of the match thats what Captains are for, well we have some new players from the boarding school

NEXT TIME:
Opening league game against Castle Cary and new stars debut but one has a bit of an attitude.
