Former WWE wrestler MVP says Vince McMahon passed on an idea for him to lead a hip-hop-themed stable that would have included top star John Cena and R-Truth. MVP says they also would have recorded music to sell to the audience and used it as the group's theme music.

"My idea was for the three guys on the roster who actually rap their own theme music, let the three of us all get together on this one track. Kevin Dunn said it was really good and that he really liked it. I approached Vince with the idea and Vince wasn't interested," MVP said on the MLW.com podcast . "What I saw was, if you take me, Cena, and R-Truth and put us all together, even for a little while and let us run like a little bit of a clique, I thought it would be a lot of fun and that the crowd would really get off on it. Especially if we weren't all on the same show. If I'm on Smackdown and those guys are on Raw, but something goes down and the music plays and here I come running out or I'm in trouble on Smackdown and those guys come running out, almost like a really cool urban hip hop stable, John being the leader. The song would have been a platinum single."

It's all about Vince. He's completely out of touch with pop culture. He's 60 years old and hasn't watched 99% of movies. This would be a great stable. Really make RAW exciting, but didn't. Why? Because of the same reason that 90% of the things are wrong with WWE; Vince McM :bury::upset::dawg:ahon.

I'd heard R-Truth and John didn't get along so famously. There was sometting about an airport incident which took place a bit before R-Truth came to WWE. I'm not certain the time frame of this idea, or whether or not Vince wanted John associated with R-Truth.

They are professionals, they can work out their differences. :dawg:

What a s*** idea. Especially MVP thinking he should be the leader of a stable over John Cena.

The MVP quote says John was going to be the leader :obama:

I guess the positives for this idea are Cena out of the ME and him doing a different act.

Yes, just seeing a face stable is already weird (unless there's a heel stable to feud with), and with a big name like Cena it wouldn't end up very well.
