When I connect my headphones to my laptop, it won't let through any sound. It goes straight through my speakers. Someone a tip?

Thanks

How old is the headphones?

3 months. Beats By Dre Solo headphones.

My other headphones didn't work either. But when I plug them into my phone, they work fine. But both headphones won't be found in my device screen.

Did you try it in a different computer or maybe on phone to see if it works?

Go to the control panel, then to hardware and sound, then sound. You should see something called manage audio devices or Recordings tab. Plug in your headphones and see if they show up.

That means the mic port on your laptop is most likely broken. That or the plug for the headphones.

Depends. If it's the headphones themselves who are broken then buy new. If it is the computer then go to a expert. Laptops are a little bitch to fix.
