I wasn't ready for this at all.
We have officially just lost the greatest fighter in the history of any kind of fighting. He was the greatest inside, but especially outside of the ring. He challenged structural racism, confronted anti-blackness, and embraced a faith and name long vilified in America. At an impasse when confronting any of the three, asa sportsmen no less, was unheard of.
He defeated the most imposing of opponents, George Foreman and Joe Frazier, fervent war-mongering in Vietnam and racial segregation, without fear or pause. You lifted the heads of Black people everywhere, Muslims everywhere, and marginalized people the word over with your unrivaled charisma, courage, and God-given ability to transcend the bounds of boxing and boundaries. I don't need to go through his accolades as it would take too long and the fact that this was the greatest of all time.
RIP
