Whats the one band would you say has had the most influence on your life and how you handle certain situations and stuff. Easy answer for me.

Bullet for my Valentine.

Music is one of my favourite things in the entire world so this is a pretty tough call.

Alright, so I used to listen to a lot of Top 40 shit when I first started listening to music in like 95/96. But for my fifteenth birthday I was given the Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour and Marilyn Manson's Anti Christ Superstar albums and they pretty much changed my entire perception and forged my tastes from then on out.

A few years later I started writing pretty heavily and one of the guys in my drama class gave me An American Prayer from Jim Morrison and that again totally changed the way I viewed music and especially lyricists.

No music has really "changed" or "influenced" my life. I try not to let myself take music too seriously, and just enjoy it. Obviously in most songs there are themes, messages and whatnot, but I've never really incorporated them into my own life style. Anything Tom Morello though I need to download. Mostly just his soloish stuff, not Audioslave/RATM. Street Sweeper Social Club and his solo stuff contains some really powerful messages. SSSC isn't my usual cup of tea with rap and stuff, but it's powerful.

Most influental song in my life is Stairway to Heaven. Listening to that for the first time changed my perception on music. Fucking my sister who is two years older then me was into spice girls and I remember asking her why she didn't like Stairway everytime it came onto the radio (zed 99 is prime radio entertainment)

Band? I'd guess I'd have to say Maynard from Tool and A perfect Circle. In highschool I'd just constantly switch cds from the bands, was in love with guy and still am. [sob story] My brothers were crackheads and his tunes on addiction politics and whatever the fuck else, was just exactly what I needed to listen to [/end] lol i was so anti-bush in 2004 because of that emotive cd. That cd changed my view on everything. Was on the fence before I guess

War of Ages.... enough said

I say this because my cousin, Brannon, is the lead guitarist for War of Ages, and constantly he calls me and tells me his adventures in Wales, and France, and China and all this over-seas touring and it freaks me out in a good way and wants me to push myself more and more and to get my own band more popular too

Tom Morello is a shit guitarist. He's almost as bad as Kurt Cobain. Squeaking a guitar with foot pedals does not equal talent. RATM is nu-metal. Not even worth my time.

The most infleuntial band in my life is most likely Nine Inch Nails. Because of Trent Reznor, I discovered that the darkest types of music are in fact, the best.

In Flames. They've always been a band I can listen to if I need to step outside what's going on in that moment. Soundtrack To Your Escape also helped me through some pretty shitty points I had and the lyrics seriously felt like they were written for me.
I wouldn't say a band has influenced my life, but definitely helped me get through some bullshit gave me something to relate to. If you want to talk influence... it would be more on my guitar playing and song writing, and there are a lot of bands and artists who have done that for me.

I didn't mention his ability at all. I said his lyrics.
