So...4 of the most shocking things in sports this year.

Super Bowl XLII where the Giants shock the undefeated Patroits to end the perfect season?

Tiger Woods playing injured and winning the 2008 US Open?

Steve Dettwiler and Fresno State winning the College World Series from the lowest seed in CWS history?

Tampa Bay Rays?

Personally, I liked the FSU winning the CWS, but I'd have to vote for Tampa Bay going over .500, and going to the World Series...

I saw this on ESPN's site, and I thought this was interesting.

Where's Phelps kicks every other country in the bawls for the U.S.A. or is this like just U.S sports.

The Rays. Here's a team which has been a LOSING TEAM all throughout its history. They win the toughest division in baseball (After having the division lead most of the year), lose a heartbreaking game 5 in the ALCS, yet the still bounce back to win the series and make it to the World Series.

There were a couple of people picking NY over New England, but NO ONE picked Tampa Bay to win the division, much less make the World Series.

Did anyone see the pregame for Game 1 last night where they showed the odds on October 29, 2007?...the Rays were 150-1 to win the World Series...

yeah the Rays making the world series is not only very unlikely, but since it has happened, its fucking amazing. I was a TB Rays fan even when they first came into the MLB and they sucked, still love em to this day, and now with their talent and success, it makes me happy to be a Rays fan
