New Line Cinema has released the first images from the upcoming remake of Mortal Kombat starring Lewis Tan, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Joe Taslim.

First Images! Maybe a Trailer in Feb or hey maybe towards the end of this Month. Joe Taslim looks awesome as Sub Zero and Lewis Tan who I know from the Badlands TV Show that was once on AMC is a legit fighter as well.

Well shit it looks like we may finally have a good video game adaptation. Fuckin Kano ripped someone’s heart out and laughed about it. I’m glad they’re sticking to the hard R rating like the game. Sub Zero froze Jax’s arms off. That shit was brutal. Liu Kang looks buff as hell and his powers look sick. And Goro is gonna be in the movie which I don’t think was confirmed before.

The only odd thing is the story itself lol. I’m not sure why they decided to change the plot to have some disgraced MMA fighter try to obtain his destiny in the Mortal Kombat tournament but if it works then fine with me.

Eh I know a lot of people consider the original to be good 90s cheese but I never liked it. It wasn’t even bad. It was just boring which is something Mortal Kombat should never be.

As a huge MK fan since I was a kid and yes a kid I'm all for this film right now. I remember my Uncles who were Teenagers at the time giving me MK and that moment I was hooked. I always thought a MK could work today it just needs the right amount of love and this is what I wanted to see. Brutality and Violence and them trying to create new Characters. Cole is that Character and we'll find out why he was chosen, maybe it's related so a past MK fighter, but Lewis Tan is amazing if you've watched his work like I have over the years. The moment Joe Taslim joined MK as Sub Zero I knew these guys were really trying to create an awesome film. Taslim is not apart of projects he thinks won't succeed in his mind and I think this is going to do well. I didn't know Goro was going to be apart of this and I thought if yes it would be kept secret so that is a win as well. April 16th...

I’m kinda warming up to the Cole character as I learn more. I hated the idea of him, I’m just not a fan of tossing in some random person, but, one theory I read was that he is possibly a relative of Scorpion. Whether it turns out to be accurate or not, still an interesting concept.
