-- It would appear that Dwayne Johnson is looking to be credited as "The Rock" again. After dropping the moniker a few years ago, the former WWE Champion Johnson is being billed as 'Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson' in the trailer for the new animated film Planet 51. You can hear it near the end of the official trailer at www.Planet51.com.

:wavetowel2: YAY HES COMING BACK!!!

Well yeah, he's not nearly big enough in the movie industry to be recognized by casual movie goers via name alone. People see the "The Rock"...and they're like ooooo that guy. Kind of interesting though, I guess WWE didn't copyright the name huh?

First we hear about him appearing in a taped segment on the tenth anniversary episode this friday, then he shows up on some AFA house show and now he wants to be billed as Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in his upcoming movie.

It's clear that he wants to get back into wrestlinggg. :w00t:

I'm pretty sure he'll want to after this movie comes out.

The Tooth Fairy: A bad deed on the part of a tough minor-league hockey player (Johnson) results in an unusual sentence: He must serve one week as a real-life tooth fairy.

That's a Blue concept. Srsly. I thought a squad sergeant was his worse but I never knew the worse was still to come. A tooth fairy. Lawl. :disgust:

If the Rock did return (If is a big word here) just randomly saying next year's Wrestle Mania time to enter the ring again for full time it would be the perfect oppertunity to do so seeing as the two biggest names in the company now (HBK and Taker) are having their last or second last mania (roumered) this year or next and if they leave they will leave a hole in the main event scene of the WWE the same as when Austin and Rock left at the same time give or take a little bit.

And if Rock returns to the wrestling ring full time when they leave that would make up for both of them going - I just hope that either Taker's or Michael's last match would be against Rock.

I don't think appearing on Smackdown would do anything to hype his animated kids movie. It's probably because without the WWE, Dwayne/The Rock would be a Wild Samoan.

First of, HBK vs The Rock (especially this one), and Rock vs Taker are all good matches, but I don't find The Rock deserving to be their last match.

Also, HBK and Taker wouldn't leave a big hole in the main event scene. Give me a break, they only work like 5 months a year

True, damn true.

I cant see the rock returning full time. A last run or match or mini feud yes anything else is wishful thinking.

It looks like Rock has bulked up a bit. So he shows up at an indy show, seems to be bigger before, wants to be known as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (After wanting to drop "The Rock" moniker), has a taped segment on SD, and is apparently going to guest host RAW in the near future.

Take all that for what its worth :shifty:
