- Regarding the recently settled TNA vs. WWE lawsuit, TNA simply dropped their case and there was no financial settlement between the two parties. Both sides paid their own legal fees and TNA had to pick up the court costs associated with the case.

- The TNA lawsuit was the reason WWE held off on signing indy worker El Generico. WWE was looking to sign him last June, but had to put those plans on hold when they found out he had previously wrestled two tryout matches for TNA.

Even though Generico was never under contract with TNA, WWE wanted to be extra careful and stay away from a wrestler that TNA had looked at until the lawsuit was settled. It’s believed that WWE reached out to Generico around the same time that they contacted Ric Flair, who had the same issue with the TNA lawsuit.

Generico is now training at WWE developmental in Tampa and it’s expected that he will eventually debut with a different gimimck.

1.) It still blows my mind that TNA gave Generico a try out and thought "Eh, no thanks"
2.) I expect by 'different gimmick' they mean a FCW/NXT gimmick? AKA he will be named Charlie Schaub and have no real gimmick or anything unique about his character?
3.) wtf was TNA suing WWE about again? Something Blue I remember, but can't specifically recall what it was

Some dude in the TNA offices got a job at WWE and figured if he brought some info on talent contracts (when they ended and such) he could get a quick promotion or extra money. WWE threw him out pretty fast.

lol such a win/win for WWE and lol @ that blueberry.

WWE gets the info, than throws that guy out as the scapegoat and says "see, we weren't on board with this shit at all. We canned that dummie"

Seems to me like TNA should take that guy to court next.

I think he actually got some kind of court order that he cannot work in the wrestling business for like five years or something. Cannot remember were I read that though.

:downer: That'll suck. And they'll do it, I'm sure.

Do you reckon he'll keep the mask?

Or will he? I could see them unmasking him, honestly. Not saying it's what will happen particularly, but if it happens I won't be so surprised.
